Shopping Around
You've decided that you want a web site, but you want to make sure you get a good deal - fair enough.
There are three main options for you:
- The cheapest way is to register you own domain, use a web site package to create the web pages and pay for hosting. This will naturally take you some time and you will only have static content that you will update using the software. This could cost you from £100 to £500 depending on the quality of the software you go for.
- The middle option is to find a web designer to make you a professional looking static web site. The price for this can vary dramatically from £200 if it's your brother-in-law that is an amateur web designer to £2000 for a bespoke web designer. In these cases you may have to pay for updates. These may be limited to one a month or fewer.
- The best option would be a professional, content managed site that allows you to be in complete control, but is often at the most expensive end of the market. That is, until now. FedWeb content managed sites start from just £100 for a one page and £300 for four pages etc.
What about if we made it really easy to try our system?
For £100 you can have your own one-page web site that uses the same content management system as in our top end web sites. If you decide that you like it and you want to upgrade to another package, we will knock £100 off the price of your first years package.
